Tracey Astill

About Tracey Astill:

Tracey Astill is a general psychologist with extensive experience in the area of child and adolescent mental health challenges. She has been working for Queensland health in the mental health sector for the past 15 years after completing a Masters degree in Education and Developmental Psychology.

She specialises in working with the unique mental health needs of children, adolescents and young adults between the ages of 11 to 25 years old. Tracey employs a compassionate and person-centred approach utilising evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalization-Based treatment, Attachment based approaches such as Circle of Security (COS) as well as Family Based Therapy (FBT). She believes in a collaborative approach, working closely with families to develop personalized treatment plans that address emotional, behavioural and developmental challenges. Tracey is passionate about her work and strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.

Tracey is an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), staying current with the latest research and advancements in child psychology to ensure the highest standard of care. When she is not at work, Tracey enjoys spending time with her family, eating out and enjoying everything living in Queensland has to offer.
