About Dr Daniel Burge:

Dr Berge graduated in Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He went on to undertake specialist anaesthetic and pain medicine training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and subsequently pursued his interest in pain medicine, with fellowship training at St Thomas’, John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales and the Royal Brisbane Hospital in Queensland.

Dr Berge is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine of ANZCA. He is a member of the Spine Intervention Pain and Spine Intervention Society and the International Association for the Study of Pain. Dr Berge adopts a biopsychosocial approach to assessing and managing persistent pain conditions. Interventional procedures for spinal pain, joint pain, neuropathic pain and neuromodulation are Dr
Berge’s particular areas of expert interest.
