As a gynaecologist, Dr Ajita Basu has particular interest and expertise in helping with abnormal cervical screening tests, menstrual disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis and pelvic pain, contraception and pre menstrual mood disorders. While priding herself on providing personalised, comprehensive care and will work with you to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.

She empowers her patients with the knowledge to make informed health decisions, fostering confidence and well-being every step of the way. Fluent in Bengali and deeply connected to her South Asian heritage, Dr. Basu values the unique needs of the diverse community.

She has spent most of her life in Brisbane and completed her medical training throughout some of the largest hospitals in Queensland. When Dr. Ajita Basu not at work, she enjoys adventures with her husband, daughter and fur-baby, reading a good book at the beach and travelling.
