About Toby Mukardi:

Toby is a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of expertise in both the public and private mental health sectors. His areas of specialization include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Adult ADHD, and addictions. He is extensively trained in delivering psychotherapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and other therapeutic modalities, which enable him to provide comprehensive care tailored to his patients’ needs.

Toby’s advanced knowledge and clinical skills in mental health are complemented by his holistic approach to care. He is proficient in conducting assessments, prescribing medications, and utilizing evidence-based practices to support his patients’ mental health journeys. Toby completed his Bachelor of Nursing Science at Griffith University and earned both his Master of Mental Health Nursing and Master of Nurse Practitioner degrees from the University of Newcastle (UON).
Throughout his career, Toby has worked across a variety of settings, including hospital settings and outpatient clinics while treating individuals with complex mental health challenges. His work as a co-responder for police and ambulance services reflects his commitment to providing responsive and compassionate care in crisis situations.

In addition to his role as an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Toby holds dual credentials as a mental health nurse and a drug and alcohol nurse, further demonstrating his dedication to the field. He is endorsed by the Australian Health Practitioner Agency to assess mental health conditions, diagnose, order/ interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate medications. Toby’s practice is built on a foundation of clinical excellence, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health care.
