Dr Sonia Res is a highly experienced Mental Health GP from Canberra, and will be joining the new Mental Health Unit at Herston Private Hospital.

With over 20 years experience in managing patients with complex and chronic conditions, she has been especially passionate about focusing on Mental health, Preventative Medicine, and Women's Health.

Dr Res has spent the last 5 years in the ACT Health Adult Community Mental Health clinics, managing moderate to severe mental illness, referred from General Practice and other Specialists.

At Herston Private Hospital, we will be providing a similar service to surrounding General Practitioners, Specialists, Schools and other community organisations that wish to refer patients for comprehensive mental health assessments, initiation/review of medications and review of treatment and management of mild to severe mental health conditions.

Our team of medical practitioners will include Mental Health GP and Psychiatrists, as well as Allied Health Professionals offering Specialised Care Pathways in a range of mental health conditions.
